FinIQ

Security & Privacy

How FinIQ handles your financial documents and data.

🗑️

Uploaded files are deleted after analysis completes

When you upload a board pack or financial statement, the file is temporarily stored during processing and then deleted after analysis completes. Startup cleanup also removes orphaned temporary upload files left behind by interrupted runs.

🔐

Results are retained for your account history

Analysis results are stored on our servers so you can return to them later and delete your analysis history when you choose. We do not sell or share results for marketing, but document content is processed by Anthropic's API to provide the service.

🤖

AI processing via Anthropic API

Financial data is processed using Claude via Anthropic's API. We rely on Anthropic's policy that customer API data is not used for model training. You can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

🌐

Encrypted in transit

All data transmitted between your browser and FinIQ is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not accept unencrypted connections.

👤

Minimal data collection

We collect only your email address to manage your account and credit balance. We do not collect payment card details (handled by Stripe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure). We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

🏢

What we recommend for highly sensitive documents

For commercially sensitive or legally privileged documents, we recommend uploading only the financial statement pages rather than the full board pack. You can use your operating system's Snipping Tool to capture just the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow pages as images.

Questions? If you have specific security requirements or questions about how FinIQ handles data for your organisation, contact us before uploading sensitive documents.
